a matter of inches.

before i left az, i bought a sweet film camera for pretty cheap wanting to maybe pick up a new hobby while i was here. well, i finally finished my first roll and took it to get developed on friday. i looked up necessary words in the dictionary before hand, but it didn't really make a difference. the lady was showing me these photos and they were much bigger than the regular size. i was trying to say that i just wanted the standard photo-- a 4 x 6. and every time i said it, she just kind of looked at me like.. "yeah, no, i have no idea what you're talking about." anyway, i just gave in and got the giant photos and i hope they turn out okay.

well later that day i was talking to my roommate and when i was recalling the story it dawned on me that they don't use inches, they use centimeters. so when i asked for a 4x6, the lady probably thought i was mad. and, it explains how my prints are 11x17! i felt pretty foolish.

so when i said in the last post that i probably wouldn't go back to sitges for carnaval, i lied. i decided at the very last minute that-- when am i ever going to get to go see a carnaval parade in sitges, spain again?? it wasn't as crazy as saturday night except when we tried to get on the first train home at 3:30, it was like waiting in line for that one rolling stones concert where people were dying of suffocation. maybe thats a little exaggerated but it was out of control! anyway, after we got back we had no way of getting home because taxis were scarce and we had to wait for the metro to open at 5am. blegh. wednesday i may or may not have gone to spanish class...

this weekend was a usual one. we danced last night at this club until it closed at like 630! it was ridiculous. it was a pretty alternative scene and not just crappy house and techno music so it was fun. have to work on some homework today and probably not much else since i woke up at 3:30. haha.

this week a bunch of my friends are going to paris. i couldn't go because they are leaving on a wednesday which means i would miss a lot of my business class. i'm super sad but i might end up going somewhere for my roommates birthday. she suggested some cheap cruise so i dont know-- we'll see!!

i haven't heard much from my family lately, it'd be nice if they actually updated me on life there (siblings...). love and miss you!

Very clever title to go along with your picture story...very clever...

You look good as John, you should cross dress more often.

My waitress tonight reminded me of you. I wanted to kidnap her.

I watched a movie where Carnival was the arch of the story, it was pretty cool, I bet you had lots of fun.
