well. lately has been good. this past weekend i spent mostly with my friend sam. everyone else was out of town so we treated ourselves to a lot of wine and some thai food. then we decided that we deserve at least one nice dinner a month... one nice dinner away from our seƱoras who fry everything. blegh. we were supposed to go out of town but plans fell through, nothing new. but im not going to complain about spending the weekend in barcelona!
i am going to san sebastian this weekend. at least that is the plan. the next weekend i really want to go to switzerland or somewhere cool. too bad everything costs so much €€€. then, amsterdam. again, i need to find someone to come with me on wednesday so i dont have to go alone. im thinking about flying into brussels instead and then taking the train to amsterdam because i dont think i want to spend 4 whole days in amsterdam. but i need a mate... and money... anyone?
spring break plans are coming together. already have our flights to berlin and home from budapest. we are still working on figuring out the train system and need to book hostels. we are going for 13 days and didnt check bags on either of our flights. so i will be wearing one pair of jeans for 13 days if i want to buy any souvenirs (which i already have in mind for some people!) we already agreed that we will be dirty and ugly but we are okay. just expect more pictures of the sights than me! not sure if i mentioned it but the itinerary is: berlin, prague, vienna, budapest. it will be great, i'm sure! and luckily, eastern europe is a bit cheaper than the rest.
i keep running into the same people. and by that i mean i keep seeing the same strangers wherever i go. on the metro in the morning isnt so unusual but i saw the same guy two nights. it was weird because he was one of those guys i couldnt stop staring at. like sort of child molestor but kind of like you felt bad for him/wanted to be his friend. not that i want to be friends with child molestors... anyway, i saw him. saw another guy randomly around the city. and this morning there were about 3000 small children at my metro stop causing me to be late to class, as usual. despite this, have i mentioned that i love public transportation (most of the time) and do not want to drive when i come home (which will be okay seeing as my lease is up on my car...).
classes are boring. possibly more boring than at home. i just keep the perspective that they are classes in barcelona and not phoenix, arizona so its okay. i get some leisurely reading done. actually, the only class i somewhat enjoy is my spanish class (not to be confused with my history class IN spanish). ill stick it out... i think ill be okay!
well. if you want to receive a post card from me, send 50€ (dont even bother with dollars, they are worthless) to my address, barcelona, spain. thanks.
ive been sitting on this computer for long enough. time to go eat this nutella filled chocolate croissant and make my walk to my business class (and then sit on the computers there). deu!
