the death of me.

well last weekend was a great time. on friday a bunch of us americans went to a karaoke bar. all the other people were spanish and switched between spanish songs and bob dylan songs. it was quite funny. some of us got up the courage to give it a shot and we did some beatles, lynyrd skynyrd, queen, and the police. side story: my best guy friend from the 6th-8th grade, dano, is in barcelona too. we reunited for the first time that night and to celebrate us being together in spain, we sang a duet. well, we sang "so lonely" by the police. it was... terrible. but hilarious.

saturday was a typical day. i booked my flight to amsterdam and i was so excited until i realized i book it on the wrong days. it is going to cost me a small fortune to change it so i think some of my friends are going to come early with me and then ill just buy another ticket for the correct return day. so that ruined my afternoon a bit. but other than that it was the usual shopping, food, and discoteca :)

sundays are usually a whole lot of nothing and this one was not any different. its a nice day to wake up at 2pm, go to the internet cafe, eat chocolate croissants, and watch movies. perfecto.

last night was my friend dano's birthday so i went out for my first decent meal to celebrate with him. the place was sooo sweet. they had little tv's with the YULE LOG on them, live jazz, and the food was amazing. tonight i have a little chinese food planned and i'm super stoked.

now. the most important subject: chocolate croissants. i have come to realize why and how people gain so much weight being abroad. ohhhh my goodness. i have been on a recent search to find barcelona's best chocolate croissant. fortunately (or unfortunately?) i have found it. directly in my path from home to the metro. i am trying to discipline myself to one a week (wednesdays only) but i may have gave in and had one on sunday. and monday. its perfect in the morning with a little cafe con leche... and if i promise myself i'll walk it off... that and the millions of mediterranean/middle eastern food places are going to be the death of me. that or the second hand smoke. (side note: i had kibbeh the other day. it was soooo good!)

well my computer is going to die and i have yet to do what i actually needed to do on the internet. the outlets are built into the table and apparently aren't made for macintosh plugs because mine won't fit. freaking europeans.

ciaoo.
